These terms apply to favorites.cloudand the favorites.cloud browser extension. Creating an account or installing the extension means you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
The service
favorites.cloud lets you save text, screenshots, and full pages from any website, organize them with tags and collections, and find them later via full-text search. The service consists of a web application at favorites.cloud and a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Your account
You sign in passwordlessly with an email address (one-time 8-digit code) or a Google or Apple account. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Don't share your account with other people.
You must be at least 13 years old to use favorites.cloud. By using the service you confirm that you are.
Subscriptions and billing
New accounts start a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial — you will not be charged during the trial period. We send a reminder email on day 11 of the trial (three days before the first charge).
After the trial, the subscription renews at the tier and period you selected:
- Pro 1GB — €5/month
- Pro 10GB — €12/month
- Pro 50GB — €30/month
- Pro 200GB — €80/month
Storage tier can be changed any time from /settings/billing. Switching is prorated by Lemon Squeezy on your next invoice. Prices are in EUR and may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record. They handle taxes (including EU VAT) and currency conversion where applicable.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time from /settings/billing in one click. After cancellation you retain access until the end of the paid period; the service then enters a read-only state where your existing captures remain available but new captures are blocked. Re-subscribe at any time to restore full access.
We offer a 7-day no-questions refundon your first charge after the trial. Use the "Request a refund" form in /settings/billing within 7 days of the charge, or email support@favorites.cloud. After 7 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
If you live in the EU and exercise your statutory withdrawal right, write to support within 14 days of your first charge and we will refund it in full.
Your content
Anything you save through favorites.cloud belongs to you. We hold a limited license to store, transmit, and display it back to you in the course of running the service. We do not claim ownership and we do not analyze or share what you save.
You are responsible for what you save. Don't use favorites.cloud to store content that you don't have the right to store, or that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to store illegal, infringing, or abusive content.
- Attempt to scrape, mass-download, or otherwise extract content from sites in volumes intended to harm them.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the service beyond what your licensed rights allow.
- Resell or rebrand the service.
- Use the service for sending spam or harassing other users or third parties.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For serious violations we may do so without notice.
Saved pages (reader view)
When you save a page, the extension extracts the readable article text plus inline images and stores that as a private reader view that only you can access through your account. This is not a pixel-perfect snapshot of the original page; layout, interactive widgets, third-party embeds, ads, and comment threads are not preserved. We do not republish your saved pages or expose them to anyone other than you. They respect the same access rules as the rest of your saves.
Storage limits and overage
Each plan tier includes a storage allowance. When you reach 80% of your tier's limit we send a single warning email; another at 95%; and one final notice if you hit 100%. Reaching the limit blocks new captures until you either upgrade your tier or delete enough older saves to free space. Existing saves remain accessible.
Downgrading to a smaller tier while above the new limit puts your account in overage: existing saves stay available, but new captures are blocked until usage falls below the new limit.
Service availability
We aim to keep favorites.cloud running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, favorites.cloud will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You can delete your account any time from /settings/account. After you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel; once the grace period ends, all your data is permanently removed (see the Privacy Policy for full retention details).
We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, or close the service entirely with at least 60 days' notice and a refund of any prepaid amounts.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country where favorites.cloud is operated. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
